Bull Kelp

Nereocystis luetkeana

Bull kelp is an eastern pacific species that can grow in 40 m deep water. The stipe can be up to 36 meters long and attaches to rocks with a holdfast. It has narrow ribbon-like blades attached directly to the float bladder. PlastiKelp bull kelp has appox. 24 blades that are 60-180 cm. long and about 7.5 cm wide.
