Elk Kelp

Pelagophycus porra

Elk kelps are eastern pacific species that can grow in 40 m deep water. The stipe can be up to 36 meters long and attaches to rocks with a holdfast. It has broad blades attached to antler-like extensions from the float bladder.

PlastiKelp elk kelp has 12 blades 60-180 cm long and about 15 cm wide each that are attached to two 120 cm long antler-like exextensions from the float.
